kite line

the other day I was looking out of the window (there was a rainbow) when I noticed a weird “line” in the sky. I could not make sense of it and I first thought it had something to do with the rainbow, which actually looked more like a halo. at one point I was so confused I thought like “hm ok, now they are coming. this must be it.” :D it just looked so surreal… after some time I figured out that it must be some kind of string, because it was slightly moving in the wind. I think it was ~10 m over the top of the roof.

after 2 days there was a thunderstorm, and after that the line came down and was lying on the rooftop. I managed to catch it with a broomstick!

it went up into the very top of a tree at both sides.

it felt amazing playing with it, because the line was so long. I could pull the top of the tree from ~50 m away…

so I build something to collect it:
